Our Story
South San Jose Electric was founded in 2015 with a clear purpose: provide dependable electrical services to San Jose homeowners and businesses without the run-around that too many contractors are known for. Dexter Davis was born and raised in San Jose, CA, and has spent his career serving the community he grew up in. He entered the electrical trade working alongside experienced journeymen, learning the work from the ground up — the technical side, the code requirements, and equally importantly, what it means to give a client a straight answer and follow through on commitments.
When he founded South San Jose Electric, Dexter built the company around the principles that he felt were missing from too many service businesses: honest pricing, reliable scheduling, and a genuine emphasis on doing the work right rather than doing it fast. That philosophy hasn't changed as the company has grown.
